Rosebeary's Bakery

Delicious cakes for weddings, birthdays, and any special occasion, baked to perfection for Oklahoma for almost two decades. Come visit our new home at NorthPark Mall!!

Brace yourselves, there's a new bakery in town!!

Jeff Rosebeary

I know, I'm the worst blogger in the world, but at least when I post something, you can be pretty sure that it's something pretty big to stir me into pounding out a blog entry. This time is no exception, as of June 20, 2017, Rosebeary's Designs in Baking has become Rosebeary's Bakery.

You might be inclined to say, "so what?", a name change is no big deal! But, along with the name change, we have a new, first-ever, storefront bakery, with display cases chock full of delicious baked goods, ovens fired up and baking, and a whole bunch of Rosebearys to make cake dreams real.  The new shop is conveniently located in Northpark Mall, right inside the west side doors facing May Ave., and right across from the movie theater. Come see us and try something from the cases which change daily.

Into each life some rain must fall...

For tHello everyone,

So if you were watching the news this morning, you may have heard that someone strongly suggested that we might add a drive-thru entrance into the Wedding Boutique where we share office space with several other Wedding vendors. The SUV plowed through the brick exterior wall, and through the walls of our meeting room, destroying most all of the displays and fixtures, before coming to rest against the inside wall on the other side of the room. I linked to the news story above if anyone wants to see, but until we have the adjusters and others out to assess the damage, I'm going to hold off posting any pictures

While I'm not going to say that this is no problem at all, no one was hurt, and most all of us only use the facility as a meeting place, so our businesses are intact. If you have or want to meet with us, don't worry about calling because we have made contingency plans and will adapt and continue providing the high level of service we have become known for. We will just be meeting in new and different places.

For those that have appointments scheduled Monday and Tuesday, we will contact you with the exact details, but we will be meeting in one of the smaller conference rooms at the wedding boutique. Beyond that, we will know better over the course of the next few days, and will keep you posted. We appreciate all of the tremendous support thatwe have received from our friends, family, and customers that don't know it, but we count amongst the first two groups.

Thank you and Bless you all,

Jeff

I'm B-a-a-a-k!

So... one of the great things about being a blogging slacker, is that when you finally get around to posting a blog, you have a ton to talk about! That is certainly the case here, so buckle up, pack a lunch and prepare to be blown away!

If you have had an appointment with us at The Wedding Boutique on May Avenue, then you know that we share the space with some of the best in the wedding industry. As a special promotion, the vendors that make up the Wedding Boutique have pooled their resources to offer over $10,000 towards a wedding for the couple that wins our photo contest on the Wedding Boutique Facebook Page. The winning couple will win oodles of goodies to help make their wedding day absolutely perfect! For details and to place your vote on the winners, go to The Wedding Boutique OKC. The winners will be announced on 02/15/2016, and voting closes at midnight on 02/14/2016. Participating vendors (other than us) are:

In my last blog, I went on and on about the Effen Vodka bottle signing event with 50 Cent. We were asked to make a cake for the private dinner to be held afterwards at the Broadway 10 Bar and Chophouse restaurant in Automobile Alley, OKC, and I failed to follow up and show you all the final pic of the cake, so here it is (The cake is the tall one in the center.. the others are Effen vodka bottles all dressed up for their closeup):

With this, I'm going to wrap this post up, but I will return shortly with more about some of the weddings that we have recently had the honor to provide cakes for.

All of my best,

Jeff

Confession

Jeff Rosebeary

Okay, I admit it, I am a blogging slacker. We have had so many wonderful things happening before, during, and since my first post on November 10, that I have just let time get away from me and failed to share. Also, I have gained a lot of respect for those that routinely string a series of words worthy of the reader's time, and pay due respect to whatever they happen to be blogging about.

With that being said, over this and the following blogs, I am going to share a little about some of the recent events in which we've had the honor to be included, as well as some exciting upcoming events.

December was absolutely crazy for us, as I'm sure it was for all of you that have families, jobs, and multiple schedules to juggle! As our family continues to grow, it seems that each month brings a multitude of adventures and December was no exception. In between one daughter completing her first semester of college, many bouts of colds and flu thinning our herd from time to time, we were able to squeeze in a few really beautiful cakes at some great places around Oklahoma.

There are so many beautiful and interesting places in Oklahoma to have a wedding or reception, a lot of times, some of the best kept secrets are hidden away in places that you may not even have thought to look. One of those places is the Dominion House  in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

On December 12, we delivered a four-tiered bridal cake, and a two-tiered groom's cake, both decorated in the trendy, "dirty-iced/ naked cake" style for Jordan and Philip.

The Groom's Cake had a Cookies and Crème tier over a tier of Double fudge.

While the Dominion house starts out pretty spectacular on its own, Talia Morgan of Inspire Events did an amazing job of "taking it up a notch" as shown in these spectacular photos by Kristen Edwards Photography that follow below.

Unfortunately, usually, our work is delivered and we are gone before the bridal party ever arrives, so we miss out on being a part of all of the excitement, but thanks to our wonderful counterparts in the industry, we get to take a peak at all of the fun! Congratulations Jordan and Phillip, it was an honor and a pleasure to be a part of your wedding!!

Tada!!

Getting to know youJeff Rosebeary

So here it is, our new website, and a brave attempt at blogging. Thank you for being here, and reading this far!!!

We are really excited about the new site and hope you enjoy the mixture of some of our older work mixed with some of the new. The plan is to cycle new pictures through the gallery pretty frequently, so come back often, and see what is new.

After this first introductory post, I am going to start sharing some of the great things that we are a part of, will be a part of, or featuring some of the great people or places we have had the pleasure to encounter as we go about the business of caking across Oklahoma. Janet and the girls will be maintaining our Facebook. Pinterest, and Instagram pages, so for a different perspective, please check those out as well.

I am looking forward to sharing all about the great show that we had the pleasure to attend at Chisolm Springs in Edmond in my next post. - Take care, Jeff
